MODULAR MOTORCYCLE HELMET REIMAGINED

The all-new Impulse is a modular smart helmet featuring Sena’s industry-leading Mesh Intercom™ and Bluetooth® Intercom technology, plus premium speakers and microphone by the audio experts at Harman Kardon. With the help of Harman Kardon, the Impulse’s expertly tuned speakers bring a new level of precision and clarity to in-helmet audio, and an all‑new microphone delivers unprecedented outbound audio quality. The helmet boasts an integrated rear-facing taillight for rider visibility and a convenient retractable sun visor. Impulse was built with a DOT-rated composite fiberglass shell with an intermediate oval fitment. Four strategically placed vents, a chin vent, a top vent, and two exhaust vents allow airflow while riding.

EXPERTLY CRAFTED AUDIO QUALITY

The Sena Impulse offers an unmatched audio experience with SOUND BY Harman Kardon. Both the speakers and microphone were created with the audio experts at Harman Kardon to provide world-class sound inside of this motorcycle helmet. The Impulse’s interior design was optimized by Sena to provide plush acoustic dampening for the SOUND BY Harman Kardon speakers. The precisely placed premium speakers and interior acoustic design combined with the all-new microphone allow the Impulse to deliver an UNPRECEDENTED motorcycling auditory experience. The speakers send crystal clear audio to riders’ ears while the microphone, with a newly designed sensor, provides robust performance for voice communication while riding.

MESH & BLUETOOTH® COMMUNICATION CAPABILITY

Impulse features both Mesh and Bluetooth® Intercom platforms, allowing users to connect with any Sena headset for rider-to-rider communication. Mesh Intercom brings robust, reliable connections and flexible intercom message routing with significant enhancements to Sena’s Mesh algorithm. Mesh offers an unprecedented level of intercom audio quality with two Mesh settings, Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom™ and Group Mesh Intercom™.

Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom (Open Mesh) features the industry’s first Mesh Intercom™ channel system. Similar to standard handheld or CB radios, Mesh allows users to switch between 6 channels when operating in Open Mesh mode. Open Mesh offers a simple, single push of a button to click-to-connect to the Mesh intercom network. It also supports a near-limitless number of users within a range of up to 5 miles / 8 km (min. 6 riders @ 1 mi / 1.6 km intervals).

For a private group conversation, Impulse offers Group Mesh Intercom mode. Group Mesh supports a single, private group for up to 24 participants and the same range as Open Mesh. To ensure privacy, only invited users can join the Group Mesh chat.

Traditional four-way Bluetooth® Intercom mode continues to be an option for connecting the Impulse to other Sena Bluetooth-enabled users within a 1.2-mile range. Additionally, users can pair with a Sena Bluetooth Intercom user and ‘bridge’ them into a Mesh 3.0 intercom conversation.

MODULAR HELMET DESIGN
WITH INDUSTRY-LEADING FEATURES

Impulse is packed with features, including Sena’s first-ever integrated motorcycle helmet LED taillights for additional rider visibility. The DOT-rated Impulse was engineered with a convenient modular helmet design and a lightweight composite fiberglass shell. The helmet’s four-way ventilation system offers airflow from vents on the top of the helmet, the chin, and two exhaust vents. The helmet features a retractable sun visor to protect riders from excessive glare. Impulse is Pinlock® ready with a Pinlock® anti-fog lens included in the box. The micro ratchet chin strap keeps the helmet comfortably and securely in place throughout the ride.

AUTOMATIC FIRMWARE UPDATES
& NEW MAGNETIC POGO CHARGING

Impulse features an all-new charging system that operates using a magnetic pogo connection. The new charging port, located in the rear of the helmet, is securely sealed and offers improved protection from the elements while riding. Impulse offers a talk time of 10 hours while using Mesh Intercom™ and up to 18 hours while using Bluetooth intercom. Impulse features a built-in wifi circuit that provides automatic firmware updates while charging. Users will no longer need to use the Sena device manager to update the device’s firmware.
